Frequently Asked Questions
Does it take long to make your Wire Sculptures?
The short answer is yes. Like most craft processes it’s quite labour intensive and I’ve found there are very few shortcuts to achieving the desired end-result and the professional finish I want. So for instance a cockerel might take 3-5 days, a fox up to 10.
Do you always have work available?
I may have a limited number of pieces available at any time – it’s always worth checking. However I mainly work to order and there may be a waiting list so please allow time for something specific to be made, particularly for a special occasion.
How do I order or commission a sculpture?
Please just drop me a line with your query, I’m happy to discuss. I endeavour to be transparent about feasibility and costs once I know what’s involved. You can reach me using the Contact Form on this page or by email at [email protected].
Can I learn to make wire sculptures?
I’ve been introducing people to the tools and techniques of wire sculpture-making for the last 20 years and passed on knowledge gained from 35 years of being a practitioner. I’ll be running some workshops again when safe to do so, with a range of projects for beginners. My Workshops page is in development and will be available in due course.
